Meet Jennifer

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | Founder of Align Therapy and Coaching

Jennifer Gil is a licensed clinical social worker and the founder of Align Therapy and Coaching in Mystic, Connecticut. She opened her private practice in 2018 with the vision of creating a space where individuals feel safe, supported, and empowered on their healing journeys.

Jennifer specializes in trauma and anxiety, using an integrative approach that connects both mind and body. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a highly effective therapy that blends emotional processing with the body’s physical response to trauma and stress.

Her work draws from a variety of modalities, including mindfulness-based stress reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and strengths-based practices. As a certified Reiki practitioner and registered yoga teacher (200-hour certification), Jennifer weaves in breath work, movement, and energy work to support long-term healing and nervous system regulation.

In every session, Jennifer creates a grounded, nurturing space where clients can explore how their past and present experiences shape their internal world. Her calm presence and intuitive insight help clients reconnect with themselves and move toward greater peace and resilience.

Outside of the therapy room, Jennifer is a devoted hiker, nature enthusiast, and mother of two. She is currently working toward completing all 48 of the 4,000-footers in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, often with her chocolate lab by her side.
